COVID-19 Update

Alberta entered Stage 3 of the Open for Summer plan on July 1. All public health measures have now been lifted except for isolation/quarantine requirements and certain masking requirements in health care settings.

Do I have to wear a mask at Elements Health? The answer is, it is up to YOU. Masking for patients is governed by Municipal Bylaws or CMOH Orders. At this time, no municipal bylaw nor any Order is in effect. Elements Health does NOT have a clinic policy requiring you to mask. If you prefer to wear a mask, please do so. We just ask that everyone respect the choice of all clients within the clinic to mask or not mask.

Does my practitioner have to wear a mask? All regulated health professionals, including chiropractors, physiotherapists, and registered psychologists are required by his/her regulatory body to continue donning a level 1 medical mask at this time. Registered Massage Therapists in the province are no longer required to mask, however, they may choose at any time to continue masking.

Does Elements Health front desk staff have to mask? All non-clinical staff are no longer required to mask by regulatory bodies, municipal bylaws nor any CMOH order. Staff must, however, maintain 6 feet at all times, use a plex-glass barrier or mask if they are unable to do the latter.

At Elements Health, our priority remains the safety and well-being of our team and their families, as well as that of our patients and community. We continue to screen all patients, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and sanitize between all clients. If you have any questions, please let us know.

We will continue to follow the direction of Public Health and monitor the situation as new information becomes available. For the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 please go to alberta.ca.
