Hypnosis Myths

HynosisDid you know that hypnosis has many positive aspects to it that can help you with everyday life issues?

For instance, a lot of people associate hypnosis with weight loss or stopping smoking. However, as a trained counseling hypnotherapist, I help people with a variety of issues such as menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, people who listen to their significant others snoring, trauma associated with childhood, behavior issues, bed wetting, adults with ADHD, chronic pain management, fears and phobias, stress, anxiety, and so much more!

People are typically concerned or scared of hypnosis because they see movies on television or an entertainment show. And, although it looks like hypnosis can control your mind it simply is a myth! The fact is you are in full control. You do not relinquish your control at all. And you are not asleep. You are simply relaxed enough to work with your hypnotherapist to allow your subconscious mind to accept the suggestions that will help you improve the quality of your life if you allow it. It really is that simple!

I hope this clears up just a few things that may have crossed your mind when you think about hypnosis. As a trained counseling hypnotherapist and instructor, I hope that whatever it is that keeps you from moving forward in your daily life, you would consider reaching out to me to see how I can help you.
